As a child, I loved candy so much, my parents nicknamed me "Sugar." Remember the song "Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies? That was the first album I ever owned, and I played over and over until the needle wore out!

And oh how I loved going to the candy store! There has always been something magical to me about candy shops. They remind me of the delightfully sweet, simple pleasures of life ~ A time when the biggest decision I had to make was what kind of candy I would try next.

Over the years, my passion for candy and all things sweet have only increased. So after a career in education, and raising a beautiful family, I finally found the time to realize my sweet childhood dream of owning a whimsical old-fashioned candy shop, elegantly decorated and loaded with nostalgic candy, candy bars, hard candies, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, cupcakes and gourmet desserts!

What do I love most about having an old-time candy shoppe?  When kids come in to Lola's Sugar Rush they see candy, but when adults walk in, they see memories. Sweet memories of the simplicity and innocence of youth.
